CABLE INSULATION DAMAGE COULD OCCUR DUE TO METAL ON METAL CONTACT DURING MAXIMUM ENGINE ROLL CONDITIONS. AN ELECTRICAL SHORT MAY DEVELOP BETWEEN THE BATTERY CABLE AND A BRAKE TUBE. A HOLE COULD BE FORMED IN THE BRAKE TUBE, RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND REDUCED BRAKING CAPABILITY.
THE INVOLVED VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED FRONT SPRING U-BOLTS USED TO SECURE THE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY TO THE SPRING. THE FOUR U-BOLTS MAY EXPERIENCE CRACKS AND COULD ULTIMATELY BREAK. SHOULD TWO U-BOLTS ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BREAK, THE FRONT AXLE WOULD NOT BE RETAINED SECURELY.
