The affected helmets may not be strong enough to adequately protect a user's head in an impact. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the impact attenuation and penetration requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, Motorcycle Helmets.

THESE HELMETS FAIL THE RETENTION REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 218, MOTORCYCLE HELMETS. THE STITCHING ON THE RIGHT SIDE EAR FLAP IS INSUFFICIENT.
