    UD TRUCKS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 UD1800, UD2000, UD2300, UD2600, AND UD3300 MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 22, 2010 THROUGH NOVEMBER 29, 2010. THE VISUAL OPTICAL AIMING HEADLAMPS AND THE LOW BEAM HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM WERE NOT ADEQUATELY SECURED TO PREVENT ADJUSTMENT AFTER MANUFACTURE. THEREFORE, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

    NISSAN DIESEL IS RECALLING 549 MY 2008 UD1800, UD2000, UD2300, UD2600, AND UD3300 MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS. A FAILURE OF THE FUEL INJECTION PUMP DRIVE COUPLER CAN OCCUR. THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE NOTCHED DRIVE SURFACE WAS IMPROPERLY MACHINED. WITH INCREASED FUEL PUMP PRESSURE, THE REQUIRED TURNING TORQUE ON THE DRIVE COUPLER INCREASED. THE INCREASED TURNING TORQUE COULD CRACK THE COUPLER AT THE BOTTOM CORNER WITHOUT WARNING UNDER NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION.
